DIY Lavender Vanilla Homemade Body Wash

October 4, 2016

This recipe makes about 1 cup of body wash and, if you’re like me, you’ll go through that in about two weeks, which isn’t very long. This is a super-basic recipe, meaning you can tweak it any way you want and add whatever essential oils you’d like. Don’t like the ones I use? Use different ones ! This recipe can be doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled. Just remember that it’s always a good idea to keep anything made with essential oils in dark glass containers such as this.

1/3 cup Castile Soap (if this is too drying, use Coconut Oil Soap instead)

1/3 cup grapeseed oil (for moisturization)

1/3 cup honey

30 drops Lavender Essential Oil

1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 tbsp vegetable glycerin (this is optional, and is only for lather)

Stir everything together and pour through a funnel into your glass pump container. When using, use a shower poof like this. It helps disseminate the essential oils over your body and in your shower better!
